Red Sox Yankees...again, of course.

If the Yankees win two, they are division champs for the eighth consecutive season. If the Sox win two, there's a playoff game at Yankee Stadium Monday. If the Sox sweep, they win the East for the first time since 1995.

Funny/sad bumper sticker I saw today

No one died when Clinton lied.

Reminds me of a local anti-moking ad campaign slogan "Where is the outrage?"

The real Jager - Meister

"His pals in the liquor business thought Sidney Frank was crazy when he started importing a German herbal elixir, called Jägermeister, in 1972. The drink was selling about 500 cases a year. But Frank had a plan, revolving around promotion techniques the liquor industry had never seen. He employed a squadron of young women--dubbed Jägerettes--to patrol bars and sell drinks, and he threw parties for high visibility. In the first half of 2005, Sidney Frank Importing sold 2 million cases of Jägermeister."

and now, it's a Father's Day Tradition - TK

Why ?

Why do we press harder on a remote control when we know the batteries are getting weak?

Why doesn't glue stick to the bottle?

Why doesn't Tarzan have a beard?

If people evolved from apes, why are there still apes?

Beta Hurricane - Running out of names

Each year, 21 common names are reserved for Atlantic Basin hurricanes, with the list arranged alphabetically and skipping certain letters. Rita is the 17th named storm in the Atlantic Basin this year. There are only four left.

NASA Planning Return to Moon Within 13 Years

And I'll put "return" in quotes....30 years ago they were able to do it with computer power equal to a Palm Pilot today and tin foil space suits. Yeah, right. - TK

Michael D. Griffin, the agency's new administrator, detailed a $104 billion plan that he said would get astronauts to the Moon by 2018, serve as a steppingstone to Mars and beyond, and stay within NASA's existing budget.

My morning bike ride

Watching the sunrise...almost, has provided a great start to my day. The pedalling uphill on the way home i could do without though. Looking forward to walking this in the winter, maybe with snowshoes ??
